It installs with no chimney or flue and delivers 99.9% of its heat directly to the room; you complete it with the 24" vent-free log set of your choice.

The Intermittent Pilot versions light electronically to save gas and include battery backup for outages; the Millivolt versions run a standing pilot that needs no electricity at all. Both are remote-ready — Empire's remotes, wall switches, and thermostats are available separately, along with liner kits, an ember kit, decorative doors and frames, glowing embers, and cabinet or corner mantels.

This fireplace ships with the burner installed but without logs. To complete it, add a 24" vent-free log set matched to the Slope Glaze burner — hand-painted ceramic fiber for the classic look, or refractory concrete for heavier detail.

No — the Slope Glaze burner is installed, but you'll add a 24" vent-free log set (ceramic fiber or refractory) to complete the fireplace. That's what lets you pick the log style that suits your room.
Millivolt or Intermittent Pilot — which should I pick?
Millivolt runs a standing pilot and needs no electricity — it heats through any power outage. Intermittent Pilot lights electronically only when needed, saving gas, and includes battery backup for outages. Both are available with or without the factory blower.
Does it need a chimney or vent?
No. It's a vent-free fireplace — it uses room air for combustion and requires no chimney, flue, or outside venting. Vent-free appliances are not permitted in some jurisdictions; check your local codes before ordering.
How do I customize the look?
