Empire Breckenridge Premium 32" Vent-Free Firebox
The Breckenridge Premium is the deeper trim of Empire's vent-free firebox family. Its 20 7/16" overall depth and taller opening are sized for the larger vent-free log sets on today's market, while the box still installs without a chimney or flue and pairs with any certified vent-free burner and log set.

Because it draws room air for combustion and vents nothing outdoors, the Breckenridge Premium delivers its heat directly to the room and can be framed into interior walls and spaces where running a flue isn't practical. The junction box and standard matte black hood are included, so the box arrives ready to frame in.
To finish the installation, surround the firebox with a traditional-style cabinet or corner mantel from Empire (White Mountain Hearth) in one of five finishes, or choose stainable oak or hardwood for a custom match.

This is the firebox only. To complete the fireplace you'll add a certified vent-free burner and log set, sized for a 32" firebox. An extended hood is also required when your surround material is thicker than 1 inch.

No — this listing is the firebox only, with junction box and standard matte black hood. You'll add a certified vent-free burner and log set sized for a 32" firebox to complete the fireplace.
How is the Premium different from the Breckenridge Deluxe?
The Premium is deeper — 20 7/16" overall versus the Deluxe's 16 1/2" (32" model) — with a taller opening, so it stages larger log sets that would feel cramped in the slimmer box.
Does it need a chimney or vent?
No. It's a vent-free firebox — it uses room air for combustion and requires no chimney, flue, or outside venting.
What's the difference between the Flush Front and Louver versions?
The Flush Front has a clean, uninterrupted face for a modern or site-built look. The Louver version has the traditional recirculating-firebox face with visible louvers.
When do I need the extended hood?
Empire requires the extended hood (sold separately) whenever the surround material on the face of the firebox is thicker than 1 inch — for example thick stone or tile facings.
How is it shipped?
Free and fully insured by freight carrier, with tracking and a scheduled delivery appointment. Plan a clear access route and a flat spot to receive it.
