Empire Breckenridge Deluxe 32" Vent-Free Firebox
The Breckenridge Deluxe is Empire's compact vent-free firebox — a zero-vent steel firebox that installs without a chimney or flue and pairs with any certified vent-free burner and log set. At just 16 1/2 inches deep, the 32" model fits framing pockets that deeper fireboxes can't, while still accommodating an optional blower.

Because it draws room air for combustion and vents nothing outdoors, the Breckenridge Deluxe delivers its heat directly to the room and can be framed into interior walls, corners, and spaces where running a flue isn't practical. The junction box and standard hood are included, so the box arrives ready to frame in.
Choose the Flush Front for a clean, seamless face or the Louver front for the traditional recirculating-firebox look; either can be ordered with a refractory brick liner already installed. Empire (White Mountain Hearth) offers matching louvers, decorative door sets, steel frames, bottom trim, ember kits, and stainable oak or hardwood cabinet mantels to finish the installation.
Sold Separately — a burner and log set are required
This is the firebox only. To complete the fireplace you'll add a certified vent-free burner and log set, sized for a 32" firebox. An extended hood is also required when your surround material is thicker than 1 inch.

Does it need a chimney or vent?
No. It's a vent-free firebox — it uses room air for combustion and requires no chimney, flue, or outside venting, which is what allows installation in interior walls and tight spaces.
What's the difference between the Flush Front and Louver versions?
The Flush Front has a clean, uninterrupted face for a modern or site-built look. The Louver version has the traditional recirculating-firebox face with visible louvers. Both are available with or without a preinstalled refractory brick liner.
Can I add a blower?
Yes. Despite its 16 1/2" depth, the Breckenridge Deluxe accommodates Empire's optional automatic blower, with a speed control available.
When do I need the extended hood?
Empire requires the extended hood (sold separately) whenever the surround material on the face of the firebox is thicker than 1 inch — for example thick stone or tile facings.
How is it shipped?
Free and fully insured by freight carrier, with tracking and a scheduled delivery appointment. Plan a clear access route and a flat spot to receive it.
