Lorex A10 4K (8 MP) IP Wired Vandal-Proof Dome Security Camera — IK10

The A10 is the tamper-proof camera of the A-series: an IK10-rated aluminum-alloy dome built for within-reach mounting — stairwells, entrances, loading docks — where a camera has to survive being grabbed, struck, or pried. Behind the dome sits a true 8 MP sensor recording 4K at 20 FPS (or 4 MP/1080p at 30 FPS) through a 2.8 mm F2.0 lens with a wide ~125° diagonal view, so one camera covers a broad approach with identification-grade detail.

Smart detection prioritizes people and vehicles over ordinary motion, Color Night Vision™ keeps low-light footage in color, and infrared reaches about 98 ft (30 m) in darkness. The IP67 housing runs from −40 °F to 140 °F, a built-in microphone provides listen-in audio (often disabled by default; subject to local law), and one PoE cable carries power and video to a compatible NVR. Available in black (E851ADB) or white (E851AD).

Key Features

  • IK10 vandal-proof metal dome: engineered for within-reach installations.
  • 4K Ultra HD (8 MP) sensor: 4K @ 20 FPS; 4 MP/1080p/720p @ 30 FPS.
  • Wide ~125° diagonal view: broad coverage from fewer cameras.
  • Smart motion detection: person and vehicle alerts reduce false alarms.
  • Color Night Vision™ + IR to ~98 ft: color in low light, clarity in darkness.
  • Listen-in audio: built-in microphone (subject to local law).
  • IP67 aluminum-alloy housing: −40 °F to 140 °F operating range.
  • PoE (802.3af) / 12 V DC: single-cable installation.

Is the A10 dome right for you?

The camera you mount where hands can reach — IK10 armor, wide 4K coverage, and a dome profile that hides which way it's looking.

Buy the A10 if:

  • The mounting point is within reach — entrances, stairwells, hallways, docks — where tamper resistance is the requirement.
  • You want one wide ~125° view covering a whole approach or room corner.
  • You're adding vandal-resistant channels to an existing Lorex PoE system.

Consider another model if:

  • The camera mounts out of reach and deterrence matters more than armor — the A14 bullet trades IK10 for longer color night reach.
  • You need real-time 30 FPS at full 4K with remote zoom — the N4 Lite bullet carries IK10 and 4K/30 with motorized varifocal.
  • You don't own an NVR yet — the Nocturnal 3 complete NVR system ships ready to run.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an NVR to use this camera?

Yes — a compatible Lorex PoE NVR records and plays back the footage. Power and video travel over a single Ethernet cable; an extension cable is included.

What does IK10 vandal-proof actually mean?

IK10 is the highest common impact rating for camera enclosures — the metal dome withstands significant deliberate impact, protecting the lens and electronics from tampering at reachable mounting heights.

What frame rates does it record?

Full 4K records at 20 FPS. Stepping down to 4 MP, 1080p, or 720p raises the rate to 30 FPS when smoother motion matters more than maximum resolution.

How does night vision work?

With ambient light, Color Night Vision™ keeps footage in full color; in total darkness, infrared provides black-and-white clarity to roughly 98 ft (30 m).

Does it record audio?

A built-in microphone supports listen-in audio. It's often disabled by default, and sound capture is subject to local laws — enable only where permitted.

How is it shipped?

Ships free and insured, typically arriving in 7–10 days with tracking.
