Carl's Place High-Contrast Gray Impact Screen
The High-Contrast Gray Impact Screen is Carl's Place's dedicated solution for home simulators, coaching studios, and commercial installations where ambient light is unavoidable. It's built from the same three layers of heavy-duty, tight-knit impact-resistant polyester as the Premium screen, giving it the same robust construction and smooth projection surface — but with a gray fabric engineered to boost image contrast and enrich dark tones in rooms that aren't fully darkened. That gray material does double duty: it enhances color vibrancy under ambient light and also dampens the sound of ball impact, making sessions noticeably quieter than with looser-weave screens.
The screen is tested to withstand direct ball strikes up to 250 MPH and is designed for the longest service life possible under regular use. It delivers sharper, more vivid images in lit environments where a white screen would wash out.

Finishing Style Options
Classic — 2.5" black vinyl edging with grommets sewn all the way around. Grommets measure 3/4" outer dimension and 3/8" inner dimension, compatible with standard ball bungees for easy mounting.
Classic with Flaps — The Classic style upgraded with 7" sewn-in nylon flaps around the entire perimeter. Flaps are edged with 1" loop fastener strips, allowing you to insert safety cushions to protect your frame and conceal the grommets behind the flap.
Classic with Loop Fasteners — The Classic style with 1" loop fastener strips sewn all the way around the screen edge. Designed for DIY builders who want to attach their own curtains, nets, or safety cushions using hook fasteners.
Things to Know
Ambient Light Performance — The high-contrast gray fabric is specifically designed for rooms with natural or artificial light. If your simulator space isn't fully blacked out, this screen will produce a noticeably sharper, more vibrant image than a standard white screen.
Aspect Ratio — Screens are available in multiple sizes. Carl's Place recommends choosing a size that matches your projector's native aspect ratio, but many customers size to their room first. Both approaches work.
Mounting — The Classic and loop fastener finishes are compatible with 6" or 9" ball bungees for standard frame mounting.
